ADVANCED COMPASSION (I): FORGIVENESS

INTRODUCTION:
– Opening practice: showing affection to ourselves
– Review of homework

THEORY:
– Guilt and the importance of forgiveness

FORMAL PRACTICES:
– Becoming aware of the harm we have caused to others and asking for forgiveness
– Forgiving others and showing compassion to enemies
– Forgiving yourself
– Forgiving the harm caused by loved ones: pathological grief (optional: only for individuals with this experience)

INFORMAL PRACTICES:
– Compassion in everyday life
